In the Can

Principal photography was completed on schedule on January 25th. Immediately after, Director Jules Monteyne and Director of Photography Evan Pesses traveled to New York for a supervised transfer session at Postworks. The footage turned out well, and the film is now in post production.

Ringing in the New Year with a New D.P.

Secret Frames today announced that Evan Pesses had been named the Director of Photography for “I go to war with everything that doesn’t make sense in a bathtub.” Along with being another Louisiana native, Pesses brings a great deal of experience and talent to the table.

Director Jules Monteyne Goes Back to His Roots

In an effort not only to fill crew positions, but also to give valuable experience to students in his 2004 shoes, Monteyne returned to the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts. While there, he spoke to two Media Arts classes about film school, building a career in the entertainment world, and, most importantly, "I go to war with everything that doesn't make sense in a bathtub."

Director Jules Monteyne attends Cinereach's Reach Film Fellowship Kickoff

The two days of workshops included talks and meetings with known industry professionals Ellen Kuras, Susan Leber, and Jeremy Kipp Walker. Also announced at the kickoff were Kodak's sponsorship of 3,000 feet of film for each fellow's project and Monteyne's mentorship under celebrated filmmaker Nicole Kassell (dir. The Woodsman).

Announcing Jules Monteyne as a 2008 Reach Film Fellow

Monteyne's film, "I go to war with everything that doesn't makes sense in a bathtub.", has been selected, along with four other films, as part of Cinereach's annual program that was designed to support the visions of young filmmakers. Monteyne will work with Cinereach over the next few months to create a 10 minute, super-16mm short film. Along with this selection comes the announcement of secretframes.com’s sister site, http://www.sensiblebathtub.com, which will be dedicated entirely to the process of creating this project.
